What is Serendipity? / by Ben Courtwright

Serendipity. What is it? What does it mean? By definition serendipity means the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. Like finding a dollar bill in the gutter on the inside of a curb when you were running a dollar short and you needed to pay for that book you’ve been wanting to buy for the longest time.

What does it mean? Well I’m not a strong believer in a predestined life; but I do believe that things will turn out the way they are supposed to base on the decisions we make in our daily lives. You listen to the signs and you follow them with your hearts content. What’s meant to be will last and what’s not meant to be will fade sometimes even fall way fast.

There’s a difference between hoping for something and wanting something. Hope is trust, hope is an expectation, waiting for something to happen. Wanting something is expecting something without waiting. It’s all about being in the moment, how are you supposed to know if you want something versus knowing what you hope for if you aren’t even in the moment?
